Miss Mi Perth Review

Writing a Miss Mi Perth review for the Bendigo Advertister, The Canberra Times and more, journalist Mal Chenu had plenty of glowing things to say about his dining experience.

With Miss Mi’s signature Gold Medal gin getting a special shout out, Mal opted to go for Miss Mi Perth’s popular ‘Choose Mi’ set menu where head chef Alex De Leon serves up Miss Mi’s hero dishes.

“De Leon skillfully deploys tamarind and turmeric curries, sambal, rendang, Szechuan and Filipino treatments to pork, ribs, duck, lamb, chicken, quail, kangaroo, octopus, prawns and crab,” said Mal.

He goes on to call out Miss Mi’s Pemanggang Ikan as his favourite dish, and we couldn’t agree more. It has been a showstopper on the menu since Miss Mi Perth first opened in February 2023.

“The hero dish for me is the Pemanggang Ikan, a spectacular Indonesian-style grilled fish dish served up with spicy tamarind broth and okra.”

Commenting on Miss Mi Perth’s location tucked away on the ground floor of the Novotel Perth Murray Street building, Mal ended his review with some high praise indeed, commenting, “Restaurants in mid-range hotels don’t often hit these heights.”
